Meet the Staff

Kat – Lead Dental Assistant

I trained with Dr. Kadzik in 2003 while attending Everest Collage for my Dental Assistant certificate and am happy to be back, since 2009, as part of his team. I grew up in the Gig Harbor area and now live here with my husband and gorgeous baby boy. We enjoy the outdoors – hiking, camping, 4-wheeling, and just playing. At our office we have great patients and we all have a lot of fun at work!

Erika – Dental Assistant

I grew up in Southern California where I went to high school and dental assisting school. After working in California, my family moved to the Gig Harbor area in the late 1970’s. I spent many years raising my family of four boys and decided to go back to work in the 1990’s. I have been part of this office since 1993. I truly enjoy my job and my co-workers. Out of the office my main activities are being with family and spoiling my five beautiful grandchildren, some of which live in Hawaii. I enjoy camping, gardening and visiting the Aloha State.

Amanda – Dental Assistant

I am the newest addition to the office and I really enjoy working in such a wonderful place. I grew up on Key Peninsula, attended Peninsula High School. I did my dental assistant training at Everest College in Bremerton where my mom has been an instructor for over 13 years. As a little girl I was a patient of Dr. Kadzik’s and I feel very privileged to now be working for him. I love my career, being outdoors, working out, and spending time with friends and family. I love to make people smile!

Darcia – Sterilization Assistant

I was born and raised in Gig Harbor and have always considered it home. I went to Peninsula High School and after graduating from dental assisting school, I worked in various offices in Pierce County. I began as part of Dr. Kadzik’s team in 2007 and feel I have finally attained my goal of working in an office that provides excellent dental care and an excellent workplace with a “home-like” environment. My husband and I enjoy boating, traveling, and music. We have a shared passion for rescue animals and currently have two cats named Brownie and Monkey.

Karla – Dental Hygienist

I was born in Colorado but grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Dental Hygiene at UW. My early work experience was in periodontics in dental offices in King and Pierce Counties. In 1991 my husband was hired by the Peninsula School District and we and our two children, Troy and Tara, moved to Gig Harbor. I first met Dr. Kadzik when Tara was a kindergartener at Purdy Elementary and her class visited his office. I was immediately drawn to not only the high quality and professionalism and of his office, but also to the warm, family centered environment. I started working for him part-time in 1992 and full-time in 2004.

Gig Harbor has been a wonderful place to raise a family. My husband, Dale, has worked in as a counselor, head men’s basketball coach, teacher, and Athletic Director at both high schools. We enjoy any kind of outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with extended family.

I feel very privileged to work with Dr. Kadzik. He and his staff have become part of my family. I always strive to provide the highest level of care for my patients and am grateful to be able to practice my profession and develop long lasting relationships with them in such a warm, caring, and progressive environment.

Debra – Dental Hygienist

I have been a life long resident of Washington and grew up on both sides of the mountains. My first career was as an LPN and later I tended Pierce College to receive a degree in Dental Hygiene. Dr. Kadzik has created an environment for quality patient care. I have been happy to be part of his professional staff since 1987.

My husband and I live on Fox Island and enjoy long road trips in our camper and travel in general. At one point in my career I was able to help provide dental care for the B & I gorilla, Ivan, which was a fortunate experience, to say the least.

Mary – Dental Hygienist 

I was born in Illinois but grew up in Tacoma. I graduated with Debra from the dental hygiene program at Pierce Collage and worked in a Tacoma dental office for 11 years. In 1992, Dr. Kadzik and Deb invited me to join them in Gig Harbor where I have been ever since. I enjoy getting to know my patients and making their visits as comfortable as possible. We operate as a cohesive team and we all put our patients first. In our off time my family enjoys skiing, snowmobiling, boating, and motorcycling.

Tami – Front Office / Billing & Insurance Coordinator

I have been part of Dr. Kadzik’s practice since 1992. My position is at the front desk as the billing and insurance coordinator. I feel, however, that my primary mission is in greeting patients, making them feel welcome and reassuring them that they are in the best office for dental service. I enjoy conversing with patients and learning about their lives, their interests, and their families. Being in a service oriented profession suits me well and I consider myself a patient advocate and intermediary. I love my job and my co-workers.

Dr. Kadzik has assembled a stellar team of professionals and I am proud to be part of it. Both he and his wife have supported and helped me through tough times when I lost one son, and later another son, after a construction accident, became confined to a wheelchair. My youngest child Jessica practically grew up in our office. She spent a good portion of her childhood in our back office or break room entertaining herself and/or doing homework. She recently graduated from Peninsula High School and is on to college. I recently remarried to a true soul-mate and I look forward to what the rest of my life will bring.

Chris – Front Office / Scheduling Coordinator

Hi. I’m Chris and I am a recent addition to Dr. Kadzik’s staff. I have been a scheduling coordinator in various offices in Gig Harbor throughout the years and I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of Dr. Kadzik’s team. He has earned and enjoyed an excellent reputation not only as a compassionate practitioner, but as an understanding and fair employer as well.

I was born and raised in Gig Harbor as were my two sons. I well remember the days when Gig Harbor was a “small town”; our office treats everyone with that same feeling. I have been blessed to be part of this community and I truly enjoy interacting with our patients, many who have been with this office for over 30 years.

Terri – Front Office / Financial Coordinator

My name is Terri and I have been with Dr. Kadzik since 2001. My husband and I have lived in Gig Harbor for many years. We have two sons – one is studying acting and our youngest is working towards his doctorate in Physical Therapy. We love to travel and hang out with our dog, Molly. I love my job and the people I work with. We are all an extended family.

Charla – Dental Assistant

After living in Woodinville, WA and assisting there for a local dentist, my husband received his “dream job” and we relocated to Gig Harbor. Shortly after our move, I was hired by Dr. Kadzik. After a little over two years of assisting we welcomed the birth of our son. I now stay at home with him still having the opportunity to work with Dr. Kadzik on an as-needed basis. I love spending time with my family and friends and I love the flexibility I have as a new mom.
